I moved “home” last year and spent a year attending classes with the goal of becoming a clinical service provider. When the opportunity arose to become the Health Administrator for the local health department, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. I never imagined I would have the opportunity to work in the field of public health at this level. I don’t know if I’ll ever move to the clinical side of health care, but I know that my experience at the Clinic helps me be successful in my work on a daily basis. Having first hand experience providing care to clients gives me a unique perspective that allows me to support individual and population based services.
