Adrienne Bousian
Adrienne has more than 10 years experience working in Public Policy and Government Affairs, Strategic Communications, and Public Relations. Adrienne is currently Vice President of Public Affairs for Planned Parenthood: Shasta-Diablo, where she directs the agency’s policy and communications efforts in 13 counties. She also leads board and donor development for the organization’s political arm. Previously, Adrienne served as Deputy State Director for U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer, running Senator Boxer’s San Francisco office and supervising her Northern California field operations. She was also the Senator’s statewide liaison on women’s issues and judicial nominations. Before joining the Senator’s staff, she coordinated the California Access Project for CARAL (now NARAL Pro-Choice California and positioned CARAL as a trailblazer in reproductive health with “Emergency Contraception: The Resource Guide for California.” She was pleased to feature the Women’s Community Clinic in this guide. A 22-year resident of California, Adrienne graduated from the University of California, San Diego and earned a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC). In her free time, she can often be found practicing yoga.
