Carrie Owen-Plietz, FACHE
Carrie is the Chief Operating Officer of Mills-Peninsula Health System, a Sutter Health Affiliate, located in Burlingame, California. As Chief Operating Officer, Carrie is responsible for leadership, direction, administration and oversight of operations, establishing strategic objectives, realization of high quality, economical healthcare services, planning and overseeing all financial functions to ensure long-term fiscal stewardship. Previously, she worked with California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco for eight years, becoming the Vice President of Operations Specialty Services and Chief Administrator Officer in 2008. Carrie holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration and a Master’s degree in Health Administration (MHA). She is a Diplomat in the American College of Health Care Executives serving on the Early Careerist National Committee and California Regents Advisory Council. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, volunteering and competes as a marathon runner.
