Julie Orio, M.Ed
Julie is currently the Assistant Dean of Students at the University of San Francisco. She has several years of experience in the field of higher education and student development. In her current role Julie coordinates and oversees the university’s crisis management team and violence prevention efforts. Julie has substantial experience with conflict resolution, problem solving and project development. Previously Julie served as the chair of the President’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Women and advised the University’s Women’s Resource Center. Julie serves as a co-educator in the Martin Baro Scholars Community. The program through a comprehensive curriculum, examines issues of citizenship, social justice, and diversity. Julie served as the chair of the Hysteria 2006 & 2008 planning committee. Julie holds a BA in Anthropology and Sociology with a concentration in Women’s Studies from the College of the Holy Cross and a M.Ed. from Teachers College, Columbia University.
