Kim Dempsey
Kim has spent her career serving in the public and non-profit sectors. She is currently a Vice-President/Business Development Officer at NCB Capital Impact, a national, non-profit, community development lending organization. At NCB Capital Impact, Kim serves as the organization’s health care market leader, responsible for designing and implementing the strategic plan for lending to this sector as well as leading all marketing and outreach efforts. In her role as Business Development Officer, Kim works with community health centers in the western half of the U.S. to develop appropriately structured loans that meet their financing needs. NCB Capital Impact has been providing flexible financing to community-based healthcare organizations for 25 years. Prior to joining NCB Capital Impact in 2003, Kim was a Research Associate at the Urban Institute focused on the evaluation of federally-funded community development initiatives. Previously, Kim has worked in health education as the student coordinator of the UCSC HIV Prevention Program and as a volunteer at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Kim earned her Masters in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School of Government and her B.A. in Community Studies and Sociology from UC Santa Cruz.
