Nicole Sudduth

Upon graduating from college with a BA in Social Welfare, Nicole began her career in social work as a health educator at Planned Parenthood.  Nicole has always been interested and curious about the reproductive health rights of women, especially those in marginalized communities.  After several years in the field, Nicole decided to return to school and obtained her Master’s in Social Work.  During her second year internship, she provided counseling services to teen moms and volunteered in a rape prevention program on campus.  In 2006, Nicole joined the Brighter Beginnings mental health team as a clinician and was promoted to Senior Clinician in 2009. She continues her work with teen mothers and also provides therapeutic services to children and adults, primarily from economically disadvantaged families.  Nicole recently (and happily) passed her licensing exam to become an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker).  She is also a member of the Cultural Awareness Committee at her agency, promoting cultural competence within the work environment and the community.   She loves to eat dessert, travel to different countries and swim in warm oceans.
