Paula Smith Arrigoni,
Grants Manager

Paula’s involvement with Women’s Community Clinic has happily evolved over the last couple of years.  She first began working with the Clinic while on staff with the Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF), where she served as a lead consultant and Associate Director for the organization’s northern California office.  While at NFF, Paula was integrally involved in large initiatives funded by The California Wellness Foundation, Bank of America and Blue Shield of California Foundation, which provided strategic financial management services to community clinics, women-focused organizations, domestic violence service providers, and many other types of nonprofit organizations. Shortly thereafter Paula was truly hooked when she joined the Clinic’s Advisory Board, serving on the finance committee and as Treasurer. The evolution was complete when Paula recently joined the clinic’s development team as Grants Manager.  In this role, she is responsible for generating and managing grants and contracts to support operations and the capital campaign, as well as developing strategy in collaboration with development, program and administrative staff.  In addition to her activities with the Clinic, Paula serves as an independent consultant to nonprofits and foundations, and on the finance committee of Samaritan House.  Paula holds a B.A. in sociology and an M.A. in urban planning, with an emphasis in community development, from UCLA.  She is fluent in Italian and the proud mamma’ of four kids-three girls!
