Wells Fargo
Long-time Clinic volunteer Larissa Belsky is one of 21 Wells Fargo employees nationwide who was granted a paid leave of absence to pursue a volunteer opportunity. In September 2009, Larissa took two weeks off from her job as a foreign exchange trader to work with the Women’s Community Clinic. She has been a volunteer at the Clinic for three and a half years, currently serving as an HIV counselor. The Volunteer Leave Program allows Wells Fargo employees the opportunity to work with a nonprofit of their choice to help solve social problems important to them and to build the nonprofit’s long-term sustainability. During her two weeks at the Clinic, Larissa researched and analyzed accessing and maintaining interns at the Clinic, funding opportunities for the mandated move to Electronic Health Records (EHR), and other projects. Wells Fargo also awarded the Clinic $1,000 as part of the Volunteer Service Awards program because of Larissa’s efforts at the Clinic. Thank you Wells Fargo!
