Donna Jean, HIV & Pregnancy
Donna has had several roles at the Clinic since she started volunteering in 2005: Client Service Coordinator, Health Educator, Pregnancy Counselor, HIV Counselor, and most recently, Women’s Health Policy Intern. She currently maintains the latter four roles at the Clinic, allowing her to offer a wide array of services to each client depending on her needs. Her long-term commitment to the Clinic has been an extremely rewarding experience for her as she loves working with clients and the fantastic community of women that the Clinic brings together. The Clinic has also played a valuable role in her career and educational path. Through her training and experience at the Clinic, she transitioned from Web Development to a fulfilling new career in Public Health. Similarly, her Clinic experience also reinforced her interest in Psychology, a degree she obtained while volunteering, and is now helping to chart a graduate education that will foster her new career. Outside of the Clinic, one might find her cooking up her latest finds at the farmer’s market, planning her next getaway, or doing yet another Pilates DVD.
