Women’s Community Clinic:
Since 1999, the Women’s Community Clinic has used a volunteer-based model of care to create a safe, welcoming environment where Bay Area women can access health services. We honor our mission to improve the health and well-being of women and girls by providing free: sexual and reproductive health services, outreach services, and health career training programs.
Job Description:
As the Women’s Community Clinic prepares to expand services and move into a new location, this is an exciting time to join the Clinic. The Clinic Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the overall Clinic and ensuring it runs smoothly in its day to day operations. This position will also be integral to patient follow up and ensuring smooth coordination of care. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience working in a non-profit, community clinic setting. Qualified applicants should be comfortable working in a diverse, pro-choice environment.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Support the Clinic by training, shift supervising, and evaluating lay volunteer and staff health workers
- Deliver daily clinical direct services as needed, including
Client Services Coordination
Health Education
Pregnancy testing
- Support Clinic administrative tasks including but not limited to conducting inventories, stocking Clinic supplies, ordering supplies, phone systems, building emergencies and repairs
- Coordinate and oversee Clinic shifts. This includes but is not limited to tracking Clinic flow, responding to volunteer questions, ensuring Clinic is opened and closed smoothly, ensuring shift safety and supporting Clinicians.
- Conduct patient follow-up and referral coordination
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum two years experience in a clinic or hospital setting
- Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel and patient management systems)
- Position involves lifting, carrying, and walking up stairs
