Katie’s deep faith in people and our power to change the world for the better has prompted her to work at the Feminist Majority Foundation, Women in Community Service, the Youth Leadership Institute, Physicians for Reproductive Choice and Health, and Planned Parenthood: Shasta-Diablo. Along with Executive Director Carlina Hansen, Katie was an inaugural fellow of the Women’s Foundation of California’s Women’s Policy Institute. In 2005, Katie was recognized as one of ten “Young Emerging Leaders in the Reproductive Health Field” by NARAL Pro-Choice America. Currently, Katie swims with San Francisco Tsunami Synchronized Swim Team (in 2009, she won a gold and a silver medal at the Out Games in Copenhagen!) and serves on their Board of Directors.
