Rebecca Gitlin, AmeriCorps Member
Rebecca was born and raised in Los Angeles before receiving her B.A. in Gender & Sexuality Studies and Psychology. During college, she volunteered in Tanzania and studied abroad in Mexico, focusing on women’s and LGBT health and HIV prevention. She moved to (and completely fell in love with) San Francisco after graduation for a yearlong internship at the UCSF AIDS Health Project, where she continues to work as an HIV test counselor. She can also be found volunteering at SFSI (San Francisco Sex Information) as a switchboard operator, exploring a new recipe, dancing, or enjoying the beauty and excitement of this city. She is currently applying to graduate school for a Doctorate in Psychology and plans to be a sex therapist and educator. At the Clinic, Rebecca provides HIV testing and counseling.
