Shoshana Silberman, NP, Staff Clinician

Shoshana has been a volunteer nurse practitioner at the Clinic and we are excited to have her join our staff. She has worked in community health settings in San Francisco and New York for many years. She has worked on a research study of HIV in women in the Bronx; at Planned Parenthood in Mt. Vernon, NY; at San Francisco General Hospital’s Family Health and Women’s Clinics; as a Public Health Nurse; and as Education Coordinator of a project on racial and ethnic health disparities. She currently manages a project to assess and improve the health of members of the hotel-workers’ union. She is volunteer faculty at UCSF, where she enjoys teaching communication and interview skills to medical students. She is a very content mother of a 21 year old daughter. Shoshana is thrilled to have recently moved back home to San Francisco, and loves to be with friends, in her community, singing or out in the sunshine.
